“Seasons” is a series of mixed media/collage paintings I created as a reflection of my walk through T-cell Prolymphocytic Leukemia over the past three years.  There are many seasons in life;  age, relationships, finances, time, mental and physical health.  There are times in our lives with anxiety, confusion and doubt, chaos and despair; love, hope, joy, and healing.
 
Creating art during my journey was my therapy, my outlet to be free and express my emotions.  I had control to create order and calm with my paintings. With all seasons, eventually Spring does come.  Spring has always been my favorite season as it’s the time of new beginning, rebirth, and emergence. 
 
In between the chaos and regrowth, I learned to let go, and let God.  Slow down to rest and heal, knowing I had hope. The asemic type writing you see throughout are my thoughts and intentions I wrote down and collaged into the pieces. 
 
“Seasons” is a twelve painting series.  Inspired by one hundred 4”x4” small scale originals. I chose one for each month of the year, for my seasons of life, to replicate into a 12”x12” piece.  All 100 small originals, all twelve framed 12”x12” originals, and a 2027 calendar of my series “Seasons” will be available to purchase on my website.
