“My Grand Rapids” is a composite of 36 individual oil paintings of places in Grand Rapids, Michigan, that have meaning to me. Having lived in Grand Rapids most of my life, I have fond recollections of downtown. Not only do the buildings and sights bring back memories, I love the architecture. I enjoyed painting all the colors, textures and interesting adornments of the structures and surrounding environments. To encourage participation with my piece and ArtPrize, I have made coloring books of the drawings in "My Grand Rapids".
